Kayla Nervick, O.D.

Dr. Kayla Nervick, OD., graduated as part of the inaugural class of the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University. Over the course of her career, she has gained much experience treating a wide variety of vision maladies and disease states in the very young to the elderly. As an extern working at the Indian Health Services Hospital in Parker, Arizona, Dr. Nervick worked with patients in all stages of life. That experience allowed her to acquire valuable experience with ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma, keratoconus, severe dry eyes and more. Through the course of her career, she has found a great interest in the treatment of patients with irregular corneas due to keratoconus, corneal transplants and high amounts of astigmatism with specialty contact lenses. In all aspects of her practice, Dr. Nervick has always put her patients first and is always looking for ways to expand her knowledge in continued patient care practices.

Dr. Nervick specializes in several valuable modes of practice. Her experience with conventional soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses allows her to fit a wide variety of patients into the right contact lenses with a high success rate. Additionally, an externship in a vision therapy practice and four years of working almost exclusively with children allowed her the chance to excel in well-child check-ups and assessments of children with various vision conditions. Most importantly, Dr. Nervick strives to take the extra steps to educate her patients about their eyes for treatment and preventative measures. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed participating in public health fairs, children’s vision screenings, and other community education efforts. On her time off, Dr. Nervick likes party planning, crafts, and spending time with her family.
